CommentGold is a social media comment and review intelligence service operated by Mars Vision Productions ("we," "us"). This policy describes what information we handle and how.
On behalf of our business clients, and with their authorization, we access publicly available comments, reviews, and related engagement data (commenter display names or handles, comment text, timestamps, and reaction counts) from social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Google — via official platform APIs where available. We also collect basic contact information our clients provide to us (such as email addresses for report delivery).
We analyze comment and review data to help our clients understand and respond to their audience: categorizing comments, translating non-English comments, identifying customer questions, and drafting suggested responses. Analysis summaries and dashboards are provided only to the client whose audience the data concerns.
Data obtained through Meta's APIs is handled in accordance with the Meta Platform Terms. Access is granted by the client business through Meta's own authorization systems and can be revoked by the client at any time in their Business Manager settings, which immediately ends our access.
Comment data is retained while a client's service is active. Upon request or termination of service, a client's data is deleted from our systems within 30 days. To request deletion of data, email hello@comments.gold.
Access credentials are stored encrypted, access to client dashboards is restricted, and we follow the principle of least privilege for all platform permissions.
